About the cause:
Plastic pollution has become one of the most pressing environmental issues we face. The rapid increase in production of disposable plastic products has become nearly impossible to handle.
Plastic trash has become so ubiquitous it is projected that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And sadly only 9% of the world’s plastic is recycled.
Let’s get our hands dirty and join the movement!
What we’ll do:
Gain valuable knowledge on plastic pollution while learning tangible solutions as you have fun and clean-up your community!
Plastic Oceans & WeHero enable companies to help empower youth to reduce plastic pollution. Each employee will receive supplies to clean up garbage and recycling in their local community along with one reusable water bottle for themselves. Stickers and cards are also included to decorate for students who will also be receiving reusable water bottles.
Join us for the live event to learn about Plastic Oceans, to connect (and compete) over what we each found during our local clean-up, and to share personal tips and recommendations for reducing our own plastic waste.
