About the cause: Since 1951, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling® (NFCC®) has helped millions of people lead a more financially fit life. As the largest and longest-serving nonprofit financial counseling organization in the U.S., their mission is to help all Americans gain control over their finances.

About the event: Learn about the challenges experienced by individuals who are struggling with credit and personal finances. You will learn about the work of the NFCC and then be faced with decisions NFCC beneficiaries have to make regularly. We will then do some work on our own personal finances through the cookie board challenge!

Be a Waste Warrior

We build our volunteer events to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Whether it is offsetting the carbon emissions of the shipping process, using recycled cardboard for the boxes, or relying on algae-based dyes, we’ve made conscious steps to ensure we’re doing right for our world.

However, it’s impossible for us to completely eliminate waste products from the experience. To ensure we limit the impact of these materials, we ask that all participants properly recycle and dispose of the materials they receive.
