IMPACT

We're sending a message through 100 pieces of art

About the cause: Black Lives Matter Arts+Culture expands and explores this moment in art culture that is reflective of the 1960s and 1970s when the Civil Rights, Black Power, and Women’s Rights Movements, and efforts to diversify art institutions, dominated the discourse. Art For Social Equality is a program designed to serve as a connection point to educate our communities on the intersection of art, culture, and politics. Through artistic expression and engagement, we will empower our communities, change the landscape, and inspire new realities.

About the event: All participants will receive their own personal art supply kit delivered directly to their doorstep. The event will start with a keynote as we seek to garner education around social justice movements and how we can create the greatest impact possible. We will then shift gears and watch our art instructor as he or she teaches us how to create art that provides a message and has meaning. You can keep your completed art or send it to Black Lives Matter to support their mission.

Join us for this virtual event and be part of the movement!
