What is Disaster Relief?

About the cause: WeHero, in partnership with global relief organizations, works with companies to mobilize employees as first responders to international crises and natural disasters around the world.

We respond to crises in over 30 countries by delivering emergency health care, providing training, and offering health-related services to those affected by natural disasters, conflict, famine, and disease, no matter the location or conditions.

What we’ll do: Your team will participate in first aid and hygiene kit assembly. These kits include items that most of us take for granted including bandages, trauma pads, cue tips, and other specific supplies.

The event will kick off with a keynote from WeHero offering context for where these kits are going and why this work is so important. Activities are also included to help volunteers understand what these individuals are going through.

How It Works

How Many Employees?

Select how many employees you would like to have participate in the Disaster Relief event.

We Box It Up

Working with our non-profit partners we source all the necessary materials and activities, add easy to follow instructions, box it up, and ship it to you.

Have Your Event

We host a live educational event via Zoom or a preferred web conferencing system. Don’t worry, it’s easy and our team is always available for support.

Send It Back

We provide pre-paid shipping labels and boxes to make shipping everything back easy. Once the event is over, we send a thank you email with details on the impact created.

What does your event come with?

  • Dedicated Event Coordinator
    After booking your event, you are assigned a WeHero event coordinator to support you with all items related to your event. We’re here to make sure your event is perfect!
  • Live Event and Instructions
    We host a live event for your team to connect, learn, and participate together. We also provide detailed instructions for those that can’t make the live experience or would like to partake on their own time.
  • Disaster Relief Kit Supplies
    Each event contains all of the first aid and hygiene supplies needed for affected families. These supplies are very specific to navigate numerous customs situations depending on where they’re deployed. Bandages, trauma pads, applicators, and more all go into the kits!
  • A Fun Activity
    One component of all of our events is obviously the volunteering itself, but we always work to provide an activity to put your team in the shoes of the recipient.
  • Pre-paid Shipping Labels
    Shipping is easy! Attach the pre-paid shipping labels and USPS will pick your packages up at a date and time that works best for you.
  • Sign-in Form
    There’s more to this experience than meets the eye. We’ve provided a form for employees to leave their name and email so we can send you thank you email with details on the impact you created!

FAQ

Am I able to call or email WeHero leading up to the event?

Yes! Our team is here and available to make sure your event is awesome. You’ll find we touch base regularly to make sure all goes smoothly.

Can a WeHero event work for a large group of employees?

Absolutely. These events can scale with the size of your group. You can purchase the event for up to 100 employees directly on our website. If you have more than that, we can still accommodate your event with ease. Please reach out to companies@wehero.co

How do I go about getting budget for something like this?

Do I need to handle any of the shipping and is it an extra cost?

There is no additional charge for shipping. WeHero handles all of the shipping including having USPS pick up the completed kits from your home or office when your event is complete.
