VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY DETAILS

IMPACT

We're planting over 100 pollinators and donating 30,000 bees

About the cause: Farmers that keep bees are able to harvest honey during the non-growing season to earn extra income, producing 60 pounds or more of honey each year. Honeybees are essential to healthy crops, and their rapid decline threatens global food security.

About the event: Raise awareness of the importance of bees and regenerative agriculture while actually doing it! Heifer International and WeHero are enabling employees to plant pollinating plants, learn about the importance of regenerative agriculture, and donate over 3,000 bees/participant to farms in the developing world.

We ship the entire experience to your doorstep along with the planting materials, local honey sticks, VR headset, and much more! The goal of the event is to transfer seeds to hydroponic pots with fresh soil to prepare them for their next stage of life and support bees in your local community. We’ve also partnered with BumbleBracelets to have employee volunteers assist in bracelet creation for fundraising.
